Plantation Shutters in a carolina shores, NC Coastal Home
We recently installed custom plantation shutters in this Carolina Shores, NC home to give the homeowner greater control over privacy, natural light and direct sunlight while replacing older window treatments.
Project Overview
This Carolina Shores home has large East- and South-facing windows in the guest bedroom that allow abundant natural light. The homeowner wanted more flexible privacy options and a way to reduce the effects of direct sunlight entering the room. They wanted the transom windows to be left uncovered. The new shutters had to be visually similar to older shutters already in place in other rooms
We designed, manufactured and installed custom plantation shutters that match the home’s casual style while addressing the homeowner's specific needs for privacy and light control in the guest bedroom.

Hybrid construction combines a solid wood frame with poly louvers for a premium appearance and excellent resistance to humidity, salt air and UV exposure.
