Project Overview

Our Oak Island client has windows that look out over the ocean.  They allow abundant natural light.  They also allow a tremendous amount of heat into the home. the homeowner wanted a clean, updated look with improved thermal protection and more flexible privacy / light control options.  We designed, manufactured and installed custom plantation shutters  that complement the home’s casual style while ensuring durability and performance in the demanding coastal environment.

Shutter Details for This Project

• 4 1/2" louvers

• one panel per window to create a modern coastal feel

• Ultra-View louver control for a clean appearance

• Cali Snow paint color to complement the interior trim

• Inside mount to highlight the window trim

  • windows still tilt in for easy cleaning​

• Hybrid construction combines solid wood frame with poly louvers for a premium feel that is optimal for coastal conditions

The finished installation creates a clean, modern coastal look that enhances the appearance of the home while reducing interior temperatures tremendously.
